OK lets begin then.
First take the ellipse tool from the tool box on your left.
Draw a complete circle holding shift and alt.
The below picture is what it must look like.
Fill the stroke color with none.
And then fill the circle with a blue gradient.
The gradient box is usually towards the lower right hand side.
On the option menu of gradient choose the radial gradient type and fix the gradient using the gradient tool.

Now draw a leaf with the help of the pen tool and then fill and adjust the gradient color as before but this time with green

Now copy the leaf with alt & drag and color it white and then place it in front of the circle with green gradient.

Now here comes the difficult part using the opacity mask. Draw another circle inside the main green circle and change the color to white.

Draw a rectangle in front of the circle and fill it
with a black and white gradient

Now choose the circle(white) inside the green circle
along with the black and white rectangle gradient box and then click on transparency which is located beside
the gradient box on the lower right corner.
Then click on the option and then click on make opacity mask

You can then adjust the lighting effect using the gradient tool.
Note that the opacity mask must me linked to art so that it can be adjusted.

Now try the same effect with the leaf.

The designing part of the logo is almost done . Now all you need is a good font to match that design.
